It's been a long time...

*this post is best viewed while listening to this in the background:

Yes it has been a long time since I have actually written anything. I took a break during summer and just got caught up with school, so now that I have a better handle on things, you'll be sure to be reading more from the Genshiken. One thing that I'll be posting more often are downloads regarding things that I find interesting. With that being said, here's one that I have for you all:

IWBTG is probably the hardest game you will ever play in your life. It's basically a side scrolling adventure game where you can be killed by anything. It's quite challenging and reminds me of a Mario game. If you do not have to resort to looking at video walkthrough/showcases/tutorials, I commend you gaming skills to the fullest. This game can be downloaded here. If this isn't the full version, I will find another source. Enjoy!

Kanye's new song

Yes Kanye West has a new song with Jay-Z and it is surprisingly... good. It reminds me of the old Kanye with a sample from a jazz like song.

The Psychology Game

I'm not a critic, nor do I pretend to be one. However, that's why I think a review from someone like me is a bit more useful than smoeone who does this professionally.

Because, critics are meant to look at certain aspects of a game when reviewing. Then continue to give it a rating. But to the average gamer (imo) really just wants to be entertained. That's why I play anyway; to have fun in some way shape or form. I'm not worried about the small details but at the end of the day, if the time I spent on the game was worth it.

Today I'm looking at a game called Epic Mafia.

It's just like any other mafia game where the village/town is trying to kill off the mysterious mafia members. There are a wide variety of roles (30+) that keeps it fun.

But the thing I like about it most is the small community. I often see the same people online and it makes the game more fun. It's like getting a PSYCH degree without going to college really. If you actually get good at this game, you will get good at being able to to tell if people are lying or not. Much like Tim Roth in Lie to Me. Unfortunaely, that show got cancelled, but, you can still live your dream as a Dr. Lightman in this free game.

Play Here!!

Since someone requested it, I will deliver. A bit of my personal biased review on Street Fighter III 3rd Strike: Fight for the Future.

So I'd like to start off by saying that I don't care much for the story when it comes to a fighting game. So I'd like to focus on the mechanics of the gameplay first and foremost.

From the start, the theme music is much to my liking. You can watch it here

Regarding the characters, there are a lot of different types. You have your standard Ken, Ryu, and Chun-li, but in the 3 series, Capcom introduces fighters out of the blue. For example you have my favorite:

Hugo Andore

And some other fun characters:

When the fights start some fighters have certain intros when you fight another certain character. For example in this video, Capcom has a pun where if you fight Alex vs Hugo, it''s like Andre the Giant fighting Hulk Hogan:

It's a smooth game where there's not too much craziness going on while you are fighting. They have standard grabs, Anti-Airs, and specials. However, the one thing they have that makes this one of my favorite games is the parrying system. Basically, if someone attacks you, you can hit forward on the stick at the exact same time (or down if it is a low attack) to counter there attack which allows you to follow up with your own combo while you take no damage. Some people thought this required no skill and so it was not used in the later editions. In my opinion, it requires a lot of skill to predict what your opponent is going to do and allows for an unpredicted match. This is the best example as to why the parrying system is so badass.

Overall, this is a great game and I recommend any fight game lovers to try it out!

Why am I so Pathetic

SO I just saw episode 10 of Deadman Wonderland and I'm pissed off. He has to be the

I've seen in my years of watching anime. Honestly. It wasn't maybe 10 minutes when he said he would do anything to help. Then he nearly pisses his pants at the opportunity. If I didn't like the anime for other reasons, I would have dropped it right then and there.

So I recently started playing this game since I've been bored over summer and it is actually better that I originally thought. It's like WCIII but more focus on the champions than the things you can build. It's pretty fun and I'd rather play it than something like WoW or SCII.

My only problem lies within the fact that the servers are down a lot. And it always seems to be when I want to play the most. Oh well. I still continue to play as long as they continue to keep making skins like these:
